The museum, which preserves for posterity the crimes of big-guns Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel, opened a new exhibit this week dedicated to Mexican drug-lord, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
She did not specify how much he had donated, but the Sinaloa cartel, which her father headed, is responsible for an estimated 25% of all illegal drugs that enter the USA through Mexico.
The small group included Guzman's sister Bernarda, who said her brother was being punished for escaping from the prison in 2014.
However, Ortiz accused Mexican politicians of accepting donations from her father - once described by Forbes magazine as the world's most powerful drug trafficker - in return for turning a blind eye to his prison escapes.
The United States filed an extradition request for Guzman on June 25, 2015.
After months on the run, authorities caught up with El Chapo in the Mexican town of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Breitbart Texas reported. Her identity was also confirmed by Francisco Villa Gurrola, an evangelical minister in El Chapo's hometown of Badiraguato, who is a close friend of the drug lord's 87-year-old mother Consuela Loera, the newspaper says.

Guzman has complained that guards take roll call every couple of hours during the day and every four hours at night, depriving him of sleep. Now, Guzman's visits with his lawyer and his wife are shorter and chaperoned.
