Friday night, however, just after 11 p.m., City of Atlanta police responded to a "person shot call" on Defoor Place.

Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh, whose real name was Trentavious White, was shot dead outside a recording studio on Friday night, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office said on Saturday. If you have any information regarding this case, contact the Atlanta Police Department.

According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, police collected more than 50 shell casings inside and outside the studio. They don't believe anyone else was hit or killed in the shooting.

White was then transported to the hospital where he later died.

White, best known for his single "Hot Boy", was signed to the Street Execs label by another local rapper, 2Chainz.

But outside the music world, and in the nearby neighborhood, opinions of the location have been mixed.

Bankroll Fresh was an in-house recording artist at Street Execs Studios, an Atlanta-based hip-hop firm, according to the company's website. He also told 11Alive that he's worked to bring in new security and a new studio manager in an effort to keep noise and other problems down.
