No suspects have been found and hospital staff were still sheltering in place Thursday morning at San Diego's largest military medical facility, following multiple reports of an armed man on base, according to a Navy spokeswoman.

Around 7:50 a.m. local time the NMCSD made a post on its Facebook page telling users that a caller had reported an armed man at the site. All personnel were ordered to shelter in place as police responded to the scene. The hospital offers a comprehensive array of medical services, including births.

The medical center is surrounded by 1,200-acre Balboa Park, which is home to museums, performing arts and recreational facilities as well as the San Diego Zoo. San Diego is home to the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet.

Indianapolis firms up secondary by signing Patrick Robinson
Robinson would fill one of them, although the defense would still have some issues to take care of. The Colts are in need of a cornerback, as several members of their secondary are free agents.

"Four unspent bullets were discovered during security sweeps of the Naval Medical Center". No injuries were reported, and investigators found no evidence of a shooting after the facility was shut down for several hours.

CHP officers secured the perimeter as security investigated.

Check back for developments.
