The New York Giants are beginning the process of figuring out how to right the ship after an 11-5 season ended in disappointment in a playoff loss to the Packers and part of that process involves admitting that the Eli Manning era may be coming to an end.

Wild-card weekend was full of curious calls such as the Dolphins somehow forgetting to account for James Harrison, who swept in untouched for a sack-strip that kept Miami from making a game of it in Pittsburgh.

Eli's older brother Peyton retired at the age of 39, which will be Eli's age when his contract with the Giants is up.

Ray Lewis never has seen someone he couldn't preach to, and he found the flawless target in Odell Beckham Jr. "We're better with 18 on the field and he showed it tonight". "No negative-yard plays, the offensive line blocked really well, regardless of the stats". Left tackle Ereck Flowers, the No. 1 pick in 2015, has underperformed, and right guard John Jerry and right tackle Marshall Newhouse will be unrestricted free agents. Another second-year man, Ereck Flowers, continued to prove that he can not be considered a suitable left tackle, as he graded out to be one of the worst offensive linemen in football. Twitter said he most definitely was not. "There are certain things we ain't doing'".

"Obviously, being lumped into the entire scenario, I'm an adult", Cruz said. I think Odell is passionate. He's appeared in every game since his first start and has been the face of the franchise through both glorious times and those that many would like to forget.

USA deployment of troops in Poland 'threat' for Russian Federation
Last week some 2,500 items of military equipment arrived in Germany and have since been moved in transports across the continent. After the military exercises, the soldiers are to be distributed among Poland , Bulgaria, Romania, and the Baltic countries.

As OBJ continues to struggle with the hard times, I wonder what it might be like for him if he had not made that infamous one-handed catch on primetime TV against the Dallas Cowboys in November 2014, a play that suddenly launched his life and career into a different stratosphere. In New York, this is Page 6 (celebrity gossip in N.Y. Post) stuff, which is fair game with all N.Y./N.J.pro athletes.

DRC: Losing cornerback Dominique Rodger-Cromartie on the opening series Sunday hurt the Giants more than people realize. "Try to play your best, trust the training, go through it". Rodgers-Cromartie is due to make $8.5 million next season and the Giants may not be willing to pay that much to a 30-year-old who battled some nagging injury this season.

If the chance arrives, Reese might look to get a successor or at least a backup quarterback in the draft this spring.

Let's hope Beckham, being the great talent and exciting player he is, quickly matures and learns from his mistakes. In three seasons he has 288 catches for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdowns. Going to Miami for a day in the week leading up to the Packers debacle didn't help his image. McAdoo and Reese likely will keep after him in the future. Running back Paul Perkins got his feet wet as the featured back later in the season, and he should be in line to start in 2017. "He's learning every year and this is another learning experience for him". One of his worst decisions came Sunday when he ran little Bobby Rainey on third-and-short late in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, he'll need to do lots of fence mending with Giants brass, coaches and some of his teammates, as will the other three players.
