Durant finished the first half with 21 points on efficient 6-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc, to go along with three rebounds. Even after those struggles, Portland still woke up Thursday only one game behind the Sacramento Kings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West, and among the teams fighting for the West's bottom spots the Trail Blazers still seem like the best bet.

No matter how well the Warriors played offensively in the first half, the Blazers continued to answer. Warriors Forward Draymond Green led the game in assists, with 11.

Curry hit 12 of his 25 shots en route to his ninth 30-point game of the season. Warriors SF Kevin Durant's 30-point game included a four-point play, his first of the season.

James helps Real in win
James was back in action for Real last night as Zidane's men brushed Sevilla aside 3-0 in the King's Cup last 16. "I am staying, I am staying".

The Warriors are winning a lot of games but they have some little things to fix as they try and get better. The Blazers (15-22) are only 3-12 since December 7, primarily because of lackluster defense that has them last in the league in defensive efficiency rating and in the bottom six in every major defensive statistical category. "And against a really good defense team, which hopefully reinforces the idea that when we play to make plays for each other, we're tough to guard".

It's not all that hard to understand why McCollum, the NBA's reigning Most Improved Player and Portland's starting shooting guard for all 37 games of their disappointing 15-22 start, would grow frustrated with a newcomer lamenting the team's effort, especially one whose knee problems have prevented him from contributing at all this season. Once he was in the air, he appeared to be looking to pass the ball off, but finding no suitable target, just made a decision to go ahead and switch hands and make an absolutely breath-taking reverse layup. With Lillard out, the Blazers relied on McCollum, and yet again he did all that he could. On the least likely of nights, the Blazers suddenly were a challenge. He was able to go through parts of Portland's Tuesday practice, and also went through a workout prior to Wednesday's game at Oracle Arena.
